#1749512: Heads Up - Join us this Friday, 08-14-26, for "Hacking AI in the Loop"
| Description: |
Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking AI in the Loop: An hour of critical thinking about who's actually driving when the process meets the model” This week's episode will feature a special guest host, Howard Holton. He will be joined by: Bil Harmer, CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CISO, Supabase Brett Conlon, CISO, American Century Investments >>> REGISTER HERE for our Friday, August 14th, 2026 show <<< OR register once for every upcoming Super Cyber Friday event. No need to sign up week to week. In preparation for our discussion, think about the following: If "human in the loop" implies the AI is doing the driving and the human is just supervising, what does that framing give up? How many enterprise AI rollouts failed not because the model was bad, but because the process around it assumed the AI would lead? What does "AI in the loop" actually look like in a SOC, same headcount, same workflow, just faster? Or does the process itself have to change first? Is "human in the loop" a genuine design principle, or a liability shield, just something companies say so they can point to a person when the AI gets it wrong? When a vendor pitches an AI feature, how often is the underlying process it's supposed to support even mapped out, let alone solid? What's the difference between a team that automated a broken process and a team that fixed the process, then automated it? If you inherited an AI tool today with zero context, could you tell whether it was built AI-first or human-first just by watching how people use it? What has to be true about your process maturity before "AI in the loop" is even a meaningful upgrade over "human in the loop"? It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face. |
