Speakers: Jake Williams, VP of R&D, Hunter Strategy Jake Williams is a cybersecurity expert has two decades of experience in secure network design, penetration testing, incident response, forensics and malware reverse engineering. He has worked with many government agencies in information security at federal, state, and local levels. Williams is an IANS Faculty Member and also works as a SANS Analyst. He is a prolific speaker on topics in information security and has trained thousands of people on incident response, red team operations, reverse engineering, cyber threat intelligence, and other information security topics. Jake is the two time winner of the DC3 Digital Forensics Challenge, a recipient of the DoD Exceptional Civilian Service Award, and is one of only a handful of people to ever be certified as Master Network Exploitation Operator by the US Government. Joye Purser, CISSP PhD, Chief Information Security Officer – Field (Field CISO), Cohesity Dr. Joye Purser is a prominent American cybersecurity leader who currently serves as the Global Field CISO at Cohesity, having previously held the position of global lead of field cybersecurity and field CISO at Veritas Technologies. She is highly recognized for her contributions to information security, having won the 2023 ISC2 Lifetime Achievement Award. Before transitioning to the private sector, Dr. Purser spent two decades shaping national technology policy and security infrastructure in Washington D.C.. She was the first-ever senior executive Regional Director for Cybersecurity in Region 4 for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Her extensive public sector career also includes spending nine years at the Pentagon auditing multi-billion dollar IT systems, working as a legislative staffer in the U.S. Congress, and serving at the White House Office of Management and Budget, where she reviewed the Department of Defense's research budget. In the private sector, she has also worked as a managing consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and founded the regulatory compliance risk consultancy East by South Solutions. Dr. Purser earned her bachelor's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas. She is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and serves on the board of Cyversity.
